IICONN CEO Claudia Connor to talk to Y’s Men on April 6

The US was traditionally a welcoming place for people seeking refuge from war, famine and economic hardship. But as the current administration redefines this country’s role many seeking entry are unsure whether they will be welcomed or turned away.

Claudia Connor, President and CEO of the International Institute of Connecticut (IICONN) will bring clarity to the issue for Y’s Men of Westport/Weston on April 6, 2017 at the Saugatuck Congregational Church at 245 Post Road East, Westport. Ms. Connor is an attorney with a career in human rights advocacy, strategic leadership and non-profit management.

IICONN is a statewide nonprofit organization that assists refugees and immigrants resolve legal, economic, linguistic and social barriers so they become self-sufficient, integrated and contributing members of the community. IICONN also resettles refugees in the Bridgeport area and aids many who became victims of human trafficking.
