To commemorate the 450th anniversary of William Shakespeare's birth, the National Alliance on Mental Illness will present a unique Elizabethan experience to benefit the organization's Connecticut affiliate. The event will be held on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, from 9:30 p.m. – 1 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich (1800 East Putnam Ave. in Old Greenwich, Conn.).
The birthday celebration will include an Elizabethan-inspired menu of fish, meats and delicacies popular at Elizabethan banquets, along with period dance troupe, strolling singers and musicians, Shakespeare and Queen Elizabeth I impersonators, complimentary wine, ale and beer, coverage of the Times Square Ball Drop, and a complimentary Shakespeare print signed by the artist.
