Gear heads will be able to get their fix at The Ridgefield Playhouse when the Academy Award winning classic American action film Grand Prix is screened in HD on Thursday, March 12, at 7 p.m. The international cast includes James Garner, Eva Marie Saint, Yves Montand, Brian Bedford, Jessica Walter and Antonio Sabàto. Its unique racing cinematography is one of the main draws with real-life racing footage and cameo appearances by Formula One World Champions Phil Hill, Graham Hill, Juan Manuel Fangio, Jim Clark, Jochen Rindt, Jack Brabham and others. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. One of the ten highest grossing films of 1966, Grand Prix won three Academy Awards for its technical achievements. The film will be shown in HD.
