Starting tomorrow you can dine in style looking out at the snow-covered banks of the Saugatuck. The Boathouse, Westport's elegant river-view restaurant located on the second floor of the Saugatuck Rowing Club, is reopening for the season.
Local restaurateur Raffaele Gallo, the same Raffaele who owns the popular Gallo Ristorante in Ridgefield, has assembled a menu offering fresh, organic, farm-to-table food and a staff of professionals trained to please. Gallo hails from Capri, Italy, and his other restaurants include Tiella in Manhattan, Gran Gusto in Boston, and Barolo - opening soon - in New Canaan. The Boathouse brings the best of Italy to Westport.
Hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday, serving lunch from 11:30 a.m. through 3:00 p.m., with dinner service from 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday. The Boathouse is closed Sundays and Mondays.
