The Mobility Project Launches in Norwalk

The wellness boom has brought about the popularity of Yoga, Crossfit, and 30-day challenges in the fitness industry. But has it taken away our primal instincts and understanding of movement?

That is what Chris Kalisz, Certified Fitness Trainer and developer of the Mobility Project is preventing from happening. Starting on Sunday April 27th, Kalisz will be teaching hour-long, weekly workshops on the following:

-Tissue Work

-Flexibility Work

-Joint Mobility

-Flossing Techniques

-Movement Patterns

-Animal Flow

Based on the teachings of Ido Portal and Kelly Starrett, as well as his own 7 years of experience in the field, Kalisz will be helping his students achieve a higher level of mobility safely and in a controlled environment. When asked how his classes compare to Yoga, Kalisz replied, "When you specialize, you neglect a wide range of other key factors. If you generalize, then everything else becomes better and all of the key factors are addressed in a more balanced state."

When attending his introductory session at Achieve Fitness (27 Lois St. Norwalk, CT) on April 13th, 2014, it was clear that each of the 12 participants benefited from the fun, yet individually challenging session. From weight-lifters to avid Yogis and figure builders, each was challenged by the seemingly simple exercises, which were expertly demonstrated by the watchful and responsive Kalisz.

Understanding and expecting that everyone's ability level is different, the Mobility Project classes are designed for everyone in mind. In fact, the whole family is invited and children 12 and under are to be admitted free of charge.
