The "British Invasion" comes to Ridgefield on September 9

There are some tickets remaining to see the once-in-a-lifetime “British Invasion” with some of the most legendary groups from across the Pond’s 1960s music revolution. Those oh-so-British groups who forever changed the musical landscape who will be performing at The Ridgefield Playhouse on September 9, at 7:30 p.m. are: Gerry & The Pacemakers, Chad & Jeremy, Billy J. Kramer, Mike Pender's Searchers and Denny Laine of The Moody Blues and Wings.

The evening’s set list includes “Don’t Let The Sun Catch You Crying,” “Yesterday’s Gone,” “Sugar And Spice,” “Bad To Me” and “Go Now.” A four-piece backing band recreating the classic sound will ably support all of the groups’ original singers of the classic hits, and a multi-media video show of rarely seen archival footage promise to make this a memorable event.  Special guest (exclusively for the Ridgefield show) is Peter Asher, best known as one half of '60s hit makers Peter & Gordon, who recorded the Brit hit “World Without Love.”

Pictured are Chad and Jeremy, the famous British pop-folk duo that has reunited especially for this tour.

Bissell House (378 Main St., Ridgefield) will pour a complimentary glass of house wine or draught beer with dinner the night of this event when tickets are presented. AnAllShows.com VIP Party Pass ($25 addt'l per person), which includes a cocktail party from 6:30 – 7:15 p.m. with open bar, hors-d’oeuvre and priority parking, is available for this show by calling the box office (203-438-5795). This show is part of the Xfinity Rock Series. For tickets ($65), call or visit the box office at 203-438-5795, or order tickets online at ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT.
