Saxe Middle School Present Peter Pan Junior

Saxe Middle School fifth and sixth grade students will present Disney’s Peter Pan, Jr. taking place at Saxe Middle School on Friday, November 14th at 7:00pm, and Saturday, November 15th at 11:00am and 2:00pm.

Under the direction of Lauren Sherwood, along with Joe Gergle, musical director, and Jordon Hensley, stage manager, audiences will be transported to Never Land and learn to fly.

You will fly away to Never Land with Peter and the Darling children in Disney's adaptation of their beloved animated film. Based on the Disney film and J.M. Barrie's enchanting play, Disney's Peter Pan JR. is a modern version of the timeless tale about a boy who wouldn't grow up. The score includes new arrangements of classic Disney songs, such as "Following the Leader," "You Can Fly," "The Second Star to the Right" and "Yo Ho, A Pirate's Life for Me."

Wendy Darling loves to tell stories to her brothers, Michael and John. But when her father announces she must move out of the nursery, Peter Pan comes to visit the children and whisks them away to Never Land. Their adventure introduces them to the Lost Boys, Mermaids, Chief Tiger Bamboo, Tiger Lily, the other Indians, and even the infamous pirate, Captain Hook!

Many hard-working Saxe students have dedicated their afternoons to practice their singing, dancing and acting, as well as many others who have worked as stage crew to transform the auditorium and stage for this exciting performance.

Tickets are on sale through the Saxe PTC Website HERE and are $12 for assigned seats for all performances. Tickets will also be on sale at the door one hour before each performance.

Note from editor: The students and teachers work really hard on a production like this, giving up their free time to rehearse so please go and support them. My lovely neighbor Lucy Lee is one of them - where she will be not only be playing the part of a Lost Boy but a Mermaid too.
