Nothing sounds more like summer than the sweet sound of steel drums! Join us this Tuesday July 7, and every Tuesday during the summer, from 6 to 8:30 pm. This is our 5th summer playing on the patio at Wilton Pizza while you dine, and the sound also travels to Marly’s patio. Wilton Steel is Wilton’s own community steel drum band, founded and directed by Arthur Lipner. We play a wide variety of tunes and musical genres, including Calypso, Soca, Reggae, Funk, Pop, and Jazz from the ‘40s through today’s current hits. Please stop by and say “Hi” to the band, and check out the mechanics of these unique instruments. We’re always looking for new bandmates to join our fun and friendly group, and no musical experience is necessary. We have kids of all ages in the band, from teenagers to 70+ year olds.
