This Spring the Carriage Barn Arts Center, home to the New Canaan Society for the Arts will host its 27th annual Spectrum Contemporary Art Show. Spectrum is a juried exhibition of original, contemporary artwork by local and regional artists, and invites submissions in all media. All entries must have been created within the past two years and not have been previously exhibited at the Carriage Barn.
THE SHOW:
“SPECTRUM 2017: Grayscale”
This year, guest Juror and contemporary art specialist Adrienne Ruger Conzelman, of ARC Fine Art, is reviewing works rendered in grayscale — black and white and anything in between. The limited palette will give particular emphasis to form, texture, perspective, context and content. Virtually every medium will be considered including: Oil, Acrylic, Photography, Pastel, Drawing, Print, Mixed Media, Sculpture, Assemblage, Installation, Fabric and Video when part of an installation.
