We just received this exciting news from the Westport Weston Y.
Following years of planning and perseverance and after 18 months of construction, on Friday, Aug. 29, at 5:30 am, we will open the doors to our modern new home at 14 Allen Raymond Lane. This first day of operations will be reserved for Y members; the new Family Y will be open free of charge to all members of the community over the Labor Day Weekend, Aug. 30-Sept. 1.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 28 at 7 pm and will involve Y volunteers, donors, staff and members as well as an array of state and local civic leaders and public officials. "We thank our supporters for helping us 'Build What Matters' and are tremendously grateful to both Turner Construction and our volunteer-led Construction Committee," says Family Y CEO Rob Reeves.
