Family Fun Day at Wakeman Town Farm is Scheduled for Saturday, July 15
Wakeman Town Farm is hosting it’s annual down-home family event for kids/families of all ages on Saturday, July 15 from 11:30 - 3:30 p.m. at Wakeman Town Farm at 134 Cross Highway, Westport. All are welcome!
There will be an array of farmyard games, including sack races, balloon toss, and tug-of-war, as well as face-painting, pickle-making, birdhouse-decorating, crafts, and animal encounters. Guests will enjoy music by a special School of Rock Band. Grilled burgers, dogs and sausages will be available for purchase at the Hoe Down Grill, generously donated by Fresh Market in Westport. Finally, guests will enjoy ice cream and popcorn courtesy of our friends at Saugatuck Sweets and Popcorn Indiana.
More than a day packed with family fun, this is a terrific opportunity to come out to Wakeman Town Farm, peruse the organic vegetable gardens, picnic on the grounds, and see what all the buzz is about!
All proceeds from this family FUNraiser will benefit the programs and upkeep of YOUR Town Farm, which is a nonprofit organization on a mission to promote organic farming, sustainability, and community. The fee for the event is $5 kids, $10 adults, with select food/drink and activities available for purchase.
