The Wilton Police Department welcomed its newest member, Officer Lauren Filardi. Officer Filardi enjoys the support of a large family, being the youngest of four siblings, and has been close to law enforcement through her father, who is a retired Detective with the White Plains Police Department, and her brother-in-law, who is currently employed with the Albany Police Department. Officer Filardi graduated Cum Laude from the University of Scranton (PA) in May 2023, with a major in Counseling and Human Services, and has been recently employed with the Domestic Violence Crisis Center as a Prevention Educator; she has also taught at Wilton High School.
Chief Conlan was pleased to welcome Officer Filardi into her new Wilton Police family, after congratulating her on successfully passing the extensive background investigation and all the challenging tests associated with the selection and hiring of police officers. Officer Filardi will now go through extensive training at the Police Academy in Meriden, where she will further develop the skills needed for her new role.
