National Merit Scholarship Corporation Announces 2025 College-Sponsored Merit Scholarship Winners
(Evanston, Illinois) — The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) has announced over 2,900 winners of college-sponsored National Merit Scholarships in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. These scholarships are financed by U.S. colleges and universities and awarded to Finalists who plan to attend the sponsoring institutions.
Among this year's recipients is Robert J. Eskenazi of Wilton, who has been awarded the National Merit University of Florida Scholarship.
Each award provides between $500 and $2,000 annually, renewable for up to four years of undergraduate study. An additional group of scholarship recipients will be named in July, bringing the total number of college-sponsored Merit Scholarship winners for 2025 to more than 3,600.
Including today’s announcement, more than 6,930 high school seniors have earned National Merit Scholarships in 2025, with a combined total of nearly $26 million in scholarship funding. Earlier this spring, NMSC released the names of recipients of corporate-sponsored Merit Scholarships and National Merit $2500 Scholarships.
