Police Blotter 8-13-13 DUI, Burglary, Larceny, Attempted Theft, Public Indecency

8/6 A New Canaan woman was traveling e/b on Old Huckleberry Rd when her vehicle struck into a utility pole head-on.  After an investigation and field sobriety tests, the operator was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken into custody.  She was released on on PTA in Norwalk Superior Court on 8-19.

8/7 Police are investigation a burglary that occurred sometime between 9:15 and 12:30 on 8/7 on Old Farm Road.  Subjects forced entry into the unoccupied residence and took a television, silver and other items.  Incident is under investigation.

8/9 A male was observed attempting to gain access to a Toyota Highlander by using a slim jim type device at the rear of 50 Danbury Road.  When he realized he was seen, he promptly removed the tool from the vehicle window frame and shattered the passenger window in the process.  The case remains an open investigation. The suspect was described as possibly a hispanic male, operating a maroon minivan with unknown New York registration.

8/10 A Norwalk woman was detected at 69 in a 40 mph zone passing another vehicle by Scribner Hill Rd.  Upon stopping, she was found to be intoxicated and not in possession of her operators license.  She was taken into custody and transported to WPD where she was found to have an elevated BAC of .11.  She was released on a PTA.

8/11 A Weston man was observed south on RT7 crossing over the dotted lane divider.  Upon stopping him he was found to have consumed alcoholic beverages prior to driving.  He was unable to perform the SFTs and was taken in to custody.  He was transported to WPD where he was found to have an elevated BAC of .21, which is more than twice the legal limit.  He was assigned a court date of 8/22 and released on a PTA.

8/11 WPD responded to a Riding Club home for a reported domestic disturbance.  After investigation at the scene, he was summonsed to Norwalk Superior Court on 8/12 for a charge of Disorderly induct.  He was released with a promise to appear in court.

8/11 A Norwalk man and a Stamford man were found fishing a the reservoir, at the north side of Lake Rock.  Both individuals were also in violation of the properly posted "no trespass" signs, and were charged accordingly.

8/12 A vehicle was stopped after observing erratic operation southbound on Danbury Rd:  the vehicle first struck the curb of the island at the intersection with Westport Rd while merging right to continue south on Danbury Rd, then swerved to its right, traveling with its right tires over the shoulder of the road.  The operator, a 21 year old Wilton man, was found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.  He had a BAC of .25.  

8/12 An Enfield man and a Newington man were attempting to sell cosmetics at ASML.. They entered the secure building by following employees into the secure door.  Security personnel immediately saw them and did not recognize them as employees and told them to stop.  One stopped and left while the other ignored security and continued into the building.  He was stopped a moment later.  Both men were taken into custody and later posted $2500 each for bond.  Neither were registered with the town as a solicitor and they were both charged for that was well.

8/12 A 19 year old Wilton man came into HQ to turn himself in on the warrant for his arrest.  He was wanted following a mother vehicle accident with injuries that occurred on 7/13/13.  His vehicle had travelled off the roadway and struck a utility pole.  He had 3 passengers in his vehicle although there was no seating or operating seat belts in the rear.  He was charged, given a court date and released.

8/12 A Floral Park, NY man turned himself in at HQ on a warrant for his arrest, stemming from an incident that occurred on 6/16/13 at a residence on Belden Hill. The accused had slept over at the residence with numerous other family members following a party.  The victim, a 15 year old female, reported waking up in the morning to having her ear licked by the accused.  A short time later she observed that the accused was exposing his genitals and toughing himself in a sexual manner while in the same room as the victim.  The accused was unable to post bond and was held for court the following day.
