Nod Hill Soap opens in Wilton town center

Catherine Romer, a Wilton resident, started her love affair with making soap in July 2009.  At a point in her life when she was looking for something new, some thing creative, her husband suggested she make soap!  And so she did!  Researching on the internet and reading soap making books, the supplies started filling the house.

Nod Hill Soap was born. Catherine's soaps and other products are made by hand, in small batches, using the finest quality, all-natural ingredients. Her recipes for soaps and lotions include pure olive oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, sweet almond oil and many other soothing and beneficial ingredients for smooth, soft skin including calendula, chamomile, aloe vera and honey.  When possible, she uses only pure essential oils for fragrance and include natural organics such as orange, lemon or lime zest, oatmeal, locally grown lavender and other herbs to create beautiful, aromatic soaps and skin care products.

Catherine has been selling her soaps and lotions successfully at local farmer markets, craft shows and her website www.nodhillsoap.com .  But 2012 brings growth and excitement!  She has opened a store and studio in the heart of Wilton.

Stop in and see all she has to offer! Catherine's wonderful selections of soaps and skin care products make great gifts and favors . Her studio is located 81 Old Ridgefield Road (Wilton Center), in the Coldwell Banker building  between Wilton Center Travel & Coldwell Banker,  directly across the parking lot from CVS's side entrance

Her  workshop hours may vary from week to week but generally  the studio will be open 10 am - 3pm most weekdays  or by appointment

Congratulations Catherine!
