The Coatmobile is coming!

Please bring a good used coats for the homeless and working poor to the WEPCO complex on Sunday, January 29.

What is the "Coatmobile"?  It is simple a minivan that is used to collects men's, women's and choldren's  coats, donated by residents of Wilton and other towns, and to distribute those coats to people in need at emergency shelters in Connecticut.

Over the past 10 winters members of St Matthew's and Wilton Presbyterian Church, as well as other churches in town and the community, have donated a total of 6819 warm winter coats.  Those coats were given to people at the Harrison House and Prospect House in Bridgeport, the ACT Shelter in Derby, Shelter Now in Meridan, The New Haven Men's Emergency Shelter, New Haven Home Recovery, the Christian Community Action Shelter in New Haven, St Luke's Life Works for Women and Children and Pacific House for Men in Stamford, and to our near by friends at the Norwalk Emergency Shelter, Manna House of Hospitality, NEON and Malta House in Norwalk.

All of the coats will be sorted, sized and folded and then given away one by one to people who really need them.  Women's and Men's XL are MOST needed.
