Fairfield County Giving Day: Give Where You Live on March 5

Local nonprofits are gearing up for the second annual Fairfield County Giving Day, sponsored by Fairfield County Community Foundation.

What is Fairfield County Giving Day? It’s a 24-hour period to Give Where You Live!

Here’s how it works: on Thursday, March 5 from midnight to 11:59pm visit FCGives.org and search for your favorite local nonprofit, a cause you’re passionate about, or a program located in your town or city.

An online leaderboard allows nonprofits and donors to track Giving Day’s progress in real-time. Make sure to use #FairfieldCountyGives on Twitter.

Fairfield Community Foundation reports that last year’s event was a huge success with over $750,000 raised by 9,211 individuals to benefit 267 nonprofits. Fairfield County Community Foundation’s goal this year is to raise $1,000,000 in 24 hours of online donations for nonprofits throughout Fairfield County.
