Borderland Media Group Helps Promote Youth Leadership Developmentwith Donation to Connecticut HOBY

Borderland Media Group, LLC, a leading provider of digital services and proponent of Youth Leadership Development, is giving back to the community with a donation of Managed Web Hosting Services valued at $3,000 annually to Connecticut HOBY (CTHOBY).

CTHOBY is a non-profit organization founded in 1978 with a mission to inspire and develop a global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service, and innovation. CTHOBY impacts the lives of over 300 Youth Leaders across the state each year. Additionally, through the service hours  Alumni and Volunteers complete each year, CTHOBY has an economic impact of approximately $75,000 each year. Since 1998, when tracking for volunteer hours began, the program has given back over 1 million dollars through service in the state!

The donation by Borderland Media Group will allow CTHOBY to grow its web presence. Christopher Bylone, Executive Director of CTHOBY, said; “HOBY is the best kept secret in our state and we need to change that. Having a robust website is going to help us get our message out there in the world!”

Mike Wiston, CEO of Borderland Media Group, added; ”We are thrilled to be so closely involved with an organization that provides strategic thinking and leadership skills to Connecticut’s youth. As a former young entrepreneur who would have greatly benefited from this program, I am excited for the opportunity to contribute to such an inspiring cause.”

Nicholas Girard, Director Information Technology and an alumnus of CT HOBY, said; “I am extremely proud of the progress we have made getting our message to a larger audience through our web presence. HOBY was a life-changing experience and will be something that will always be a part of my life. With this donation from Borderland Media Group, we can continue to bring the HOBY experience to more students, parents, and schools across Connecticut.”
