Creative Ways of Giving at Wilton Library

Wilton Library is celebrating the season of giving by providing different opportunities for people to give to the library.  The annual Giving Tree stands tall in the beginning of the gallery with bright “ornaments” of items that the library would like for its collections, programs, and services.

New this year, the library has introduced Giving Gelt, whereby people can donate any sum of money traditionally given in increments of $18 for “life” or “good luck.”  These donations will go to the Children’s Library collection.  Whether purchasing an “ornament” from the Giving Tree or giving “Giving Gelt,” the items can be named in honor or in memory of someone special, or to commemorate an event.  The library and therefore the community will benefit from the support of these contributions.

Patrons also can take advantage of the Holiday Book Sale that is taking place in the gallery throughout the season.
