UConn Men Beat Kentucky to Win NCAA Championship

The UConn Men are National Champions after defeating Kentucky 60-54 on April 7, 2014.

This improbable matchup featured a seven seeded UConn team going against an eight seed in Kentucky in a game that saw the Huskies get off to a fast start. Kentucky managed to close the gap and remained within striking distance throughout but to no avail.
UConn point guard, Shabazz Napier scored 22 in his team's title win with guards Ryan Boatright and Niels Giffey chipping in with 14 and 10 points respectively.

The win for the men marks the Huskies first NCAA Championship under second year coach Kevin Ollie.

UConn may not be done with titles as the women's team goes for the NCAA Championship tomorrow night vs. Notre Dame at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN.
