Wine & Cheese Celebration TOMORROW for the Newly Rejuvenated Colonial Herb Garden

Join the Wilton Historical Society on Thursday from 4-7 pm as they celebrate the completion of a two-year project to rejuvenate Wilton's colonial herb garden!

The colonial herb garden at the Betts House, splashed with color and fragrant with lavender and thyme, is now at its summer best. The garden, re-established in 2002 by Emeritus Trustee Carol Russell, is divided into sections for dyeing, potpourri, culinary, and medicinal herbs. It is looking delightfully refreshed after an update to make it historically accurate to the year 1740.

Join us as we toast the dedicated team of Master Gardeners and Master Gardener interns who worked their magic and tired out their knees and backs to enhance our garden. We particularly thank project leaders Tom McGregor, Esther Johnston, Diana Abshire, Rosemary Volpe and Jackie Algon. Stroll in the garden while sipping wine and chatting with knowledgeable docents.

All are invited!
