You'll definitely want to stop by the Wilton Library this Thursday, Aug. 7 as writer/director Stephen Dest presents his independent film, My Brother Jack, for this summer library screening.
The film is a smart psychological drama in which two brothers struggle to come to terms with a horrific childhood tragedy and their own individual choices made that night and the subsequent years that followed. This is Dest's directorial debut on a feature; he is also an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut.
My Brother Jack won (Special Jury Selection) for Best Cinematography at the Napa Valley Film Festival and for Best Director and Best Picture at the 2013 New England Underground Film Festival. A Q&A with the director will follow the screening.
Film not rated; intended for mature audiences due to some profanity and violence. There is no charge; registration is recommended. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road, Wiltonwww.wiltonlibrary.org; (203) 762-3950.
