The 54th annual Lewisboro Library Fair will be held on Saturday, September 20 from 10am to 4pm at Onatru Farm (99 Elmwood Road in South Salem). The Fair highlight is the Book Sale, but it also features Attic Treasures, Formal and Athletic Wear, Toy sales, Silent Auction, Food, Live Music, Car Show, Kids’ Games, Local Crafts and Vendors, Battle of the Bakers, our amazing Corn Maze and - new this year - the exotic animals of Animal Embassy and rides on the Wells Fargo Stagecoach!

An array of food is available to please the pickiest of palates, with offerings from the Lewisboro Lions Club and the Horse & Hound as well as homemade baked goods at the Bake Sale Tent. Donations of baked goods are needed, and can be dropped off at the Bake Sale Tent anytime after 10 am on Fair Day.

Are you a baker? The Fair’s Battle of the Bakers contest is back with a quest to find the best muffin or brownie in the area. Cooks of all ages are welcome to submit their favorite recipe (no mixes allowed). Please bring your entries to the Bake Sale Tent by noon on Fair Day for judging. To pre-register or for any questions, contact Maureen Koehl at 763-3326 or funnyfarm2.ss@verizon.net. All entries will be sold at the Bake Sale Tent after judging.

The Fair’s Silent Auction will offer opportunities to bid on gift baskets, museum family passes, services, vacation home get-a-ways and some awesome, exclusive autographed items on-loan from CharityGROW. If you have an item or service you’d like to contribute to the Silent Auction, please contact maryshah@optonline.net.

The Fair Pre-Sales, also held at Onatru Farm, are a great warm-up to Fair Day. The Book, Formal Wear and Sporting Equipment Pre-Sales, for Lewisboro residents only, are Thursday, September 18 from 5 to 9 pm. The Book Pre-Sale continues for everyone on Friday, September 19 from 9 am until 4 pm.
