New Canaan Santa Run is Saturday, December 20

Join the good people of New Canaan on Saturday, December 20th at 8:00am at the High School for the 2nd Annual Santa Run / stroll. If you are not a runner, not to worry - there is also a 1-mile family walking route available. The event is open to participants of all ages and abilities. It will start promptly at 8am with the Santa Dash for kids 8 & under, followed by the 5K run and the 1-mile stroll at 8:20am.

Pre Registration Costs :

  • $25 per person for the 5K Road Race 
  • $20 per person for the 1-mile walk / stroll
  • Kids 12 and under are free

Registration on the day of the event will be $30 for the 5K run and $25 for the 1 mile stroll. The first 150 registrants will receive a Santa Run t-shirt & Santa hat! Your race packets can be picked up at New Balance, New Canaan.

100% of the proceeds from the 2014 Santa Run will directly go to supporting families in New Canaan.

Organizations Who Benefit

The New Canaan Youth and Family Services staff manages the Youth Services Special Project Fund. Funds are used to assist families with a variety of need including; winter coats, school supplies, Christmas presents, heating oil during winter months, pre-school and day care costs, as well as other needs as they arise during the year for New Canaan families. 

The New Canaan High School Scholarship Foundation is a broad-based community effort to provide financial aid for New Canaan High School graduates pursuing higher education. Any New Canaan High School graduate enrolled as a full time student in a 4-year college or university, 2-year college, technical or vocational school are able to apply. Scholarships are 100% need based. The grants are based on applications first placed through the federal student loan programs. All applicants and awards are kept confidential.
