The Discovery Center hosts Owl Prowl on February 7

Evening Owl Prowl

The Discovery Center at Ridgefield is hosting an Owl Prowl program for all ages on Saturday, February 7th at 6:00 P.M. in Bennett’s Pond State Park.

Join Discovery Center naturalist, Lars Cherichetti, on an evening search for owls through the meadows and woodland habitats of this beautiful state park.  Mr. Cherichetti will share a wealth of information on our native owls and their ecology and conservation.  The program will continue with a field walk in one of the best owl habitats in Ridgefield to in search of owls.  To draw them closer, Mr. Cherichetti will offer a few of his famous owl calls (in the past, he has been able to draw in Eastern Screech Owls and Great Horned Owls).

Participants should dress for the outdoors.  Warm clothes, flashlights, and winter boots are advised.

All ages are welcome.  This program is free of charge. Please call 203.438.1063 or visit the DC website www.ridgefielddiscovery.org to make reservations.
