Please join us in welcoming Jack Wilkins, who will lead a trio featuring Phil Markowitz on piano and Andy Mckee on bass. Jack has been a force in the jazz guitar world since the 70's. With recordings such as the critically acclaimed "Windows" (Mainstream, 1973), regarded as a seminal trio work, collaborations with jazz legends such as Buddy Rich, Chet Baker, Jimmy Heath and Stanley Turrentine, and brilliant accompanist work with extraordinary vocalists including Sarah Vaughan, Tony Bennett, Mel Torme, and Cassandra Wilson, his contributions to jazz guitar have been recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts, by Downbeat Magazine and other jazz periodicals, and in publications such as 20th Century Guitar and Leonard Feather's Jazz Encyclopedia.
