New Yorker Shorts: Six Stories in Six Weeks with Susan Boyar at the Wilton Library

The Wilton Library will debut a new program this summer focused on current issues of The New Yorker. Susan Boyar, the Wilton Library Readers' professional book discussion leader, will discuss six short stories published in The New Yorker over six weeks.

The dates of the program are July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, and Aug. 5. The discussion group will meet from 12 – 1:30 p.m. in the Library’s Rimer Room. Attendees are encouraged to bring lunch, and beverages will be provided. Advance registration is suggested. Click here to register.

Each meeting will discuss the previous week’s story, meaning the July 1 discussion will focus on the June 29 issue, which features “The Flower” by Louise Erdrich. Story titles will be announced one week before the meeting. The current issue of The New Yorker is available in the Reading Room for in-library use. It’s also available for download through Zinio or OverDrive.

The Wilton Library is located at 137 Old Ridgefield Rd. in Wilton, Conn. For more information, phone (203) 762-3950, or visit wiltonlibrary.org.
