A Charlie Brown Christmas to be staged at The Wilton Playshop December 9-11
THE WILTON PLAYSHOP is proud to present Charles Schulz’s A Charlie Brown Christmas, directed by John Atkin. Based on the television special by Bill Melendez and Lee Medelson, this holiday favorite was adapted for the stage by Eric Schaeffer. Musical direction is by Ben McCormack with choreography by Conservatory of Dance owner Chris Titus.
When Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming materialism he sees during the Christmas season, Lucy suggests that he become director of the school Christmas pageant. Charlie Brown accepts, but this proves to be a frustrating endeavor. When his attempt to restore the proper holiday spirit with a forlorn little Christmas tree fails, Linus helps him learn the true meaning of Christmas.
Recommended for children of all ages. Approximate running time is 40 minutes
