Two program changes in February at Wilton Library

In an effort to NOT compete with the Super Bowl on February 5, Wilton Library is moving the WGG/WLA Green Speaker Series to another date (to be determined):

About WGG/WLA Green Speaker Series: An Introduction to Electric Vehicles: Scott Thompson, 4 – 5 p.m. There is a lot of misperception about EVs, and this talk will cover some of these myths and counter them with real facts. Westport Electric Car Club member Scott Thompson will give the audience an Introduction to Electric Vehicles, covering EV basics and types of choices available. Thompson is an environmental engineer by profession, EV owner, and volunteer chairman of the Town of Fairfield's Clean Energy Task Force.  This Green Speaker talk is co-sponsored by Wilton Go Green and Wilton Library. No charge. Registration recommended. See the registration link for more details.  Register online or call 203-762-6334. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road, Wilton; www.wiltonlibrary.org203-762-3950.

This program was just added to February:

Wednesday, Feb. 22 Weir Farm Artist-in-Residence Exhibition/Reception: Merill Comeau, 6 – 7:30 p.m. February brings Merill Comeau to the Weir Farm Artist-in-Residence program. Merrill's work takes the shape of murals and garments that explore historical and contemporary women’s roles: the toil of the maker, the privilege of the wearer, the job of mothering, how to be a ‘good’ daughter, and societal expectations for sexual and emotional expression. Co-sponsored by Weir Farm Art Center and Weir Farm National Historic Site and presented by Wilton Library. No charge. Registration suggested. Wilton Library, 137 Old Ridgefield Road, Wilton; www.wiltonlibrary.org(203) 762-3950.
