Colonial Family Fun at Mill Hill Historic Park on June 10

Step back in time to the Colonial days at Mill Hill Historic Park on Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 12:00pm – 4:00pm.  The Park is located at 2 East Wall Street in Norwalk, CT.  Follow signs for parking. This free event, which celebrates the grand re-opening of the park as well as CT Open House Day 2017, has activities for families with children of all ages, which include:

Noon – 2:00pm: Lunch in the Park -  Chef Tony Delicias' Mexican Food Truck will be selling a wide variety of delicious fare.  Bring a picnic blanket, grab lunch from Chef Tony and enjoy sweeping views of the Norwalk River while you eat. Stop by the new interpretive signs so the family can learn about the history of Mill Hill.

Noon – 4:00pm: Life in Colonial Times- Step inside the year 1740 at the Governor Fitch Law Office. Hunt for history in the Law Office with the Colonial Scavenger Hunt.  

1:00pm – 3:00pm: Lessons in the One Room Schoolhouse- Experience school life in 1826! School Mistress Howel will lead lessons in penmanship with quill and ink, arithmetic, spelling and reading in the Little Red Schoolhouse. Lessons on the hour.

Spend the afternoon surrounded by history at Mill Hill Historic Park!
