July brings Leah Caroline to the Weir Farm Artist-in-Residence program, and tonight from 6 – 7:30 p.m. is the best time to appreciate her artistic talent!
Ms. Caroline will be incorporating her cyanotype scrolls into installations of wunderkammern, or cabinets of curiosities. The scrolls relate to her nature writing and Song of Songs. She will use photographs of natural forms, actual plants, and taxidermy that she used to make the cyanotypes, enriching her source materials with regular trips into nature where she will photograph, sketch, write and collect.
This event is co-sponsored by Weir Farm Art Center and Weir Farm National Historic Site, and presented by Wilton Library. There is no charge, but registration is suggested and available here.
