Ridgefield HamletHub editor, social media expert and mom, Terri Garlick, was recently approached by USA TODAY College to write a column about her view of the college application process. "Living in an upscale, type-A community, the fervor to get into a top college is strong," Garlick writes in 'An Inside Look at the College Vortex'.
Having a Ridgefield High School senior, and, as she says, "three more to go", she is deep in the throws of the college application process.
Garlick calls it "the parent vortex", "The palpable, crazy energy of parents surrounding the college application process," she writes. She struggles to keep this negative energy at bay, but with the help of a friend, has found a way.
