Sprint to Spring & Change Your Clocks this Weekend!

Spring? What's that? The winter has been very long and very punishing. Sunday and snowstorm have been synonymous, roof rakes have taken on an entirely new meaning, and going to school for five consecutive days has become null and void.

Spring ahead? You BET. I don't know about you, but I'm sprinting to the finish-line.

This Saturday evening or early Sunday morning (March 8), most responsible Americans will set their clocks ahead and kiss goodbye (or goodnight) to the hour we won't see again until November.

Daylight Saving Time (note: it is Saving is singular) begins Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 2:00am, and ends Sunday, November 1, 2015, 2:00am.

The idea of daylight saving was the brainchild of Benjamin Franklin, aka, the 'early to be, early to rise' guy, back in 1784.

National Geographic documents some some interesting facts about Daylight Saving Time in an article titled Daylight Saving Time 2014: When Does It Begin? And Why?. Read it here.

Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.
