Wilton Police Promote Officer to Captain during the October 5th Ceremony

Lieutenant Conlan started as a Patrol Officer with the Wilton Police Department on April 6, 2000 and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on February 28, 2008. He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on April 7, 2013 and on October 5, 2015, Lieutenant Thomas Conlan will be sworn in as Captain.

Lieutenant Conlan has several Commendations and Letters of Recognition for his work performance at the Department, as well as Letters from the public recognizing him for his professionalism and work ethic.

Lt. Conlan has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice – Law Enforcement Administration from the University of New Haven and is currently pursuing his Masters Degree from them, as well.

Lt. Conlan is a member of the Wilton Domestic Violence Task Force and the department Liaison to the Domestic Violence Crisis Center in Norwalk.  He has been a driving force in the department in combating Domestic Violence.

He resides in Oxford with his wife Ashley and their three children, Katie, Brin and Jake

Officer Cipolla joined the Wilton Police Department on August 2, 2005. During his time with the Wilton Police Department he has covered assignments as Acting Sergeant and Acting Detective when the need arose. On April 7, 2013 Officer Cipolla was promoted to Sergeant. He has performed these roles with skill and professionalism working well with those within the department and outside police agencies.

Officer Cipolla has participated in a Forum warning against scams that target seniors, for the Stay At Home in Wilton group.  He has been recognized by the organization MADD

(Mothers Against Drunk Drivers) for his achievements in the areas of enforcement, education and community involvement.  Officer Cipolla has also received numerous Letters of Commendation and Recommendation for his outstanding efforts as a Patrol Officer, Acting Sergeant and Acting Detective.  Officer Cipolla was named Officer of the Year in 2009 by Chief Lombardo.

Officer Cipolla graduated with honors from Notre Dame High School in Fairfield, CT and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice, while maintaining his status on the Dean’s list, from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY.  Officer Cipolla was honored as graduating first in his class at the Connecticut Police Academy in Meridan, CT, the first time ever from the Wilton Police Department.

Officer Cipolla resides in Trumbull with his wife Merrianne and their new baby Liliana.
