Wi-ACT Stop Hunger Now Benefit Concert is this Sunday in Wilton

Wi-ACT Stop Hunger Now Benefit Concert
Featuring Musical Groups from Middlebrook
Sunday, May 1 at 4pm
St. Matthew's Episcopal Church
36 New Canaan Road, Wilton

The annual Wi-ACT Stop Hunger Now Benefit Concert is Sunday, May 1 at 4 pm at St. Matthew’s to benefit our meal-packaging work. Middlebrook students will again be performing under their STRIDE Instructional Leader and Choral Director Janet Nobles, and we all know how spectacular they were last year! This concert that David Bloomer chaired so faithfully from its inception is being dedicated to David’s memory. Admission: $10.

The meal-packaging objective for this year scheduled for October 22 is once again 165,000 meals which seems the natural limitation for a one-day event in the facility used for the packaging; the meals packaged serve the neediest children in the world in educational programs designed to nourish them in mind as well as in body. Those 165,000 meals will feed over 450 children for an entire year! All funds raised at the concert are applied to the cost of 29 cents per meal for the bulk ingredients.
