In this NBC Nightly News segment, Dr. Mark Leondires, Medical Director of Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut (RMACT), shared his experience and expertise, first with his patients, and then with NBC news about a test that can increase the odds of success with patients using IVF (in vitro fertilization).
In the interview with Lester Holt on NBC Nightly News, Dr. Leondires appeared with Jessica and Todd and their twins, a couple that were not having success becoming pregnant but did so after seeking help from Dr. Leondires.
Dr. Leondires suggested using ERA, Endometrial Receptivity Analysis, a test that narrows down the window of time best suited for transferring an embryo back into the uterus. This test is helping many women who have undergone IVF (in vitro fertilization) unsuccessfully and while ERA is not necessary or appropriate for every infertility patient, it has proved to be the key for some patients who were not finding success otherwise.
