College Admissions Workshops coming to Trackside in July

Winning Applications College Consulting is offering a series of workshop sessions to help rising high school seniors prepare their college essays and Common Applications. Students can choose to attend one or more sessions taking place between July 9th and July 14th. Sessions will run from 9 AM to 12 PM at Trackside Teen Center located at 15 Station Rd in Wilton.

The Day 1 session on July 9th will be held by appointment. Upon completion of the College Admissions Workshops, students will have completed major components of the college application process. The course will be given by Stephanie Klein Wassink, founder and CEO of Winning Applications and a former Northwestern University admissions officer.

Students participating the workshops will receive insight into the admissions process and complete key components of the college application process.

DAYS 1-3; July 9th to July 11th: Learn about, brainstorm, outline and write the college essay.

DAY 4; July 12th: Discuss, strategize and fill-out the Common Application.

DAY 5; July 13th: Discuss, review, add to and change your School List.

DAY 6; July 14th: Review and evaluation of college essay and/or completed application by former admissions officers.

For each workshop, students should come prepared with a laptop and power cord as well as any pre-work or homework assignments for the workshop.
