109 Cheese to Prepare Lunch for Author Reading at the Garden of Ideas

The Garden of Ideas continues their popular Garden Lunch series of celebrating local authors this Wednesday, July 29 from 12:30 to 2pm. This week author Ingrid Polonius will read from her memoirs.

Ms. Polonius was born and raised in Germany where her childhood years were engraved with World Ware II memories. She’ll read from her compilation of stories of a child of war in which she captures the experiences and events from a child’s point of view. These unique and fascinating tales offer a vastly different angle on the many existing records of that era. Ms. Polonius received her Teachers Certificate for Science and Physical Education at the Universities of Frankfurt am Main, Munster in Westphalia, and Dortmund, and taught in the Wiesbaden, Wurzburg, and former West Berlin school systems.

Guests are invited to bring their own lunch or purchase a choice of salads and sandwiches prepared by 109 Cheese of Ridgefield. This is also an ample opportunity to stroll through the meadows, marshes and woodland to enjoy some well deserved tranquility. The cost is $5 or $3 is a CSA member.

The Garden of Ideas is a non-profit garden sanctuary located 653 North Salem Road, Ridgefield CT. The gardens are open daily, 8am to dusk, to visit. There is no fee to tour the grounds.Partial support for The Garden of Ideas comes from the Weeden Foundation, The Lewis Fund, MyJapaneseGardener LLC, Harold Spratt, Cecily F. Grand Inc. as well as Carole Mar.
