Filomena Ann Diones, 83, of Wilton, has died

Filomena Ann Diones, 83, of Wilton, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Norwalk Hospital She was the loving wife of John T. Diones.

Mrs. Diones was born on January 21, 1933 in the Bronx, NY; a daughter of the late Nicholas and Rose (Delassandro) Geremino.

A resident of Wilton for the past 21 years, Mrs. Diones was a member of Sacred Heart Church of Georgetown. She is best remembered for being a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Diones is survived by her husband of 64 years, John. She is also survived by her four children: Bruce Diones, of Manhattan; George Diones and his wife, Ruth of Ardsley, NY; John Diones and his wife, Deborah of White Plains, NY and Renee Cahill and her husband, Ed of Wilton, CT. In addition to her husband, children and their spouses, Mrs. Diones is survived by six grandchildren: Alyssa, Jeffrey, Jackie, Anya, Christie and Jonathan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church; 30 Church Street, Georgetown. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield. Friends will be received on Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home; 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
