Children Grades 3-5 can Vote for the Nutmeg Book Award

Children in grades 3 through 5 are invited to join Wilton Library’s new Nutmeg book club. The Nutmeg Book Award is a program designed for kids in the state of Connecticut.

Each year children have the opportunity to read ten carefully chosen books and then vote for their favorite in April.  There are two levels for children: Elementary (grades 2-4) and Intermediate (grades 4-6).  In this club kids can choose to read one of the assigned monthly books or all two or three.

We will come together to discuss the books, have snacks, play games, and do other fun book-related activities.  This month's book choices are The Trouble with Chickens by Doreen Cronin (Elem.), Zita the Spacegirl by Ben Hatke (Elem.), and Shadow by Michael Morpurgo (Inter.) This program is a partnership between Wilton Library and Cider Mill School.  Registration required; no fee.
