STEW LEONARD’S OPENS 2015 LITTLE FARMS IN NORWALK, DANBURY AND YONKERS WITH CELEBRATION AND “NAME OUR BABIES” CONTEST

 

Celebration Includes Costumed Characters, Balloons, Snacks, & More

WHAT:                 Stew Leonard’s Little Farms at the Norwalk and Danbury, Conn. and Yonkers, N.Y. locations will open for the season on Saturday, May 2, 2015.  To welcome the baby animals to their new home, Stew’s Little Farm at each location is hosting customer celebration with Clover the Cow, Daphne Duck and Cynthia Chick to welcome the baby cows, goats, and sheep. 

In anticipation of the opening of the Little Farms, kids are also invited to enter the “Name Our Babies” contest at the Norwalk, Danbury, and Yonkers locations.  Kids ranging in age from 4 to 10 are eligible to participate in the “Name Our Babies” contest by picking up an entry form at customer service and submitting their recommended animal names into the suggestion box.  The contest ends Sunday, April 26, 2015.  Winners will be notified by phone on April 30, 2015.

WHO:                   Each of the three Stew Leonard’s Little Farms are celebrating the arrival of three baby cows, two baby goats and two baby sheep for the 2015 season.  Kids of all ages are welcome to come to the Little Farm and observe the new arrivals, but the “Name Our Babies” contest is limited to children ages 4-10.

The “Name Our Babies” contest winners will also have their picture taken with the animal they named during the festivities on May 2.

WHEN:                 The Little Farm celebrations will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2015 starting at 9 a.m. in Norwalk, Noon in Yonkers, and 4 p.m. in Danbury.
