Things to do at EverWonder Children's Museum This December

EverWonder Children's Museum is pleased to announce its calendar for December. The museum has events for the entire family. The event calendar is subject to change without notice. Please check EverWonderMuseum.org or Facebook for calendar changes and announcements.

EverWonder is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday from 11:00 am to 5 pm. Admission is $7.44 (includes tax), and children under the age of 1 years old are free. Museum members are also admitted free. Parking at the museum is free.

December Activities:

Story Lab Story Lab for Young Explorers meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 am to 11:15 am. This 45 minute program of STEM themed stories, activities, and crafts takes place in the EverWonder classroom. Parents must stay with their children during the program. Program is free with museum admission.

Story Lab will meet on Tuesday, December 1st, Thursday, December 3rd, Tuesday, December 8th, Thursday, December 10th, Tuesday, December 15th, Thursday, December 17th, Tuesday, December 22nd, Thursday, December 24th, Tuesday, December 29th, and Thursday, December 31st.

Wednesday, December 2nd Science Lab: Aqua Sand Come free play with aqua sand in the EverWonder classroom. Aqua sand, a sand coated in a hydrophobic compound, causes sand granules to stick together to form cylinders when exposed to water.

Wednesday, December 9th Art Lab: Puffy Paint Come explore texture as you create your next masterpiece with puffy paint.

Tuesday, December 15th New Art Lab Activities: Spiral Graphs and Coffee Filter Snowflakes Check out EverWonder's newest art lab activities, Spiral Graphs and Coffee Filter Snowflakes. In Spiral Graphs, patrons will create and design spirals. Spirals are a curve in a plane that run around a central point. In Coffee Filter Snowflakes, patrons will design and cut out their own snowflakes.

Friday, December 18th Science Lab: Arctic Slime Come make and free play with slime in the EverWonder classroom.

Tuesday, December 22nd to Thursday, December 24th Science Lab: Crystal Observation Purchase a take home kit to grow your own crystals. Kits are $10 for non-members and $7.00 for members. Art Lab: Snowflakes Come paint and decorate snowflake ornaments. Small snowflakes are $2.00 for non-members and free for members, medium snowflakes are $4.00 for non-members and $2.00 for members, and large snowflakes are $6.00 for members and $4.00 for members.

Friday, December 25th Christmas Day EverWonder will be closed in observation of Christmas Day.

Wednesday, December 30th Science Lab: Candy Cane Experiment Come practice your observation and prediction skills! We will be testing how fast different liquids will melt candy canes.
