Are you looking for a college preparatory school that has an outstanding academic curriculum, where you can take a writing workshop with a famous poet, research cell biology with a scientist, direct a play? Then Lauralton is for you.

Lauralton Hall offers a comprehensive college preparatory curriculum focused on guiding students as they master analytical and critical thinking skills, develop empathy, creativity and strong writing skills and gain the ability to communicate ideas effectively. At Lauralton we prepare young women for college; most importantly we empower them for life.

Prospective students and families are invited to apply online. After creating a user account (using the name of the primary parent), follow these steps:

  1. Complete the Online Application in its entirety. 
  2. Download the School (Principal or Guidance Counselor) Recommendation Form, the Math Teacher Recommendation Form and the English Teacher Recommendation Form.
  3. Register for the entrance examination within the Application.
  4. Pay the $60 entrance examination fee within the Application.

The Entrance Examination

Students seeking 9th grade admission to Lauralton Hall must complete the High School Placement Test (HSPT) by Scholastic Testing Service (STS), administered at Lauralton Hall. Once you have applied, Lauralton Hall will schedule a date for prospective 9th grade students to take the admission exam. Please note: if you are seeking entrance to Lauralton Hall for the 2017-2018 school year, there is still time to take the exam!

Already accepted to Lauralton Hall? Here are the next steps:

  1. Submit the required $750 non-refundable deposit along with the Intent to Enroll Form. New students must submit payment by February 15.
  2. After March 1, download, complete and sign the Enrollment Contract.
  3. Select a payment plan from the options described in the Tuition Payment Data Sheet or choose an alternative payment method – a tuition loan – using Your Tuition Solution.
  4. If selecting payment plan 3, register for the FACTS Tuition Payment Plan.
  5. Review information about the Tuition Refund Plan (required if selecting payment plan 2 or 3 or Your Tuition Solution; optional if selecting payment plan 1).
  6. Mail the completed and signed contract by April 1 to: Enrollment, Lauralton Hall, 200 High Street, Milford, CT 06460.
