Wilton Police Announce Honey Hill Road Closure

Beginning on April 7 at approximately 12:00 pm, there will be a complete road closure of Honey Hill Road between Danbury Road (Route 7) and Mather Street. The road is expected to remain closed until April 16, 2017 at approximately 4:00 pm. 

The road closure is due to work begin performed by Metro-North Commuter Railroad. They will be upgrading the Honey Hill Road railroad/highway at-grade crossing on the Danbury Branch of the Metro-North Commuter Railroad. The upgrading includes the replacement of the existing crossing surface. A detour will be implemented via fixed message signs.

In addition, on Saturday, April 8 and Sunday, April 9, there will be NO TRAIN SERVICE between Danbury and South Norwalk. Metro-North Commuter Railroad will be providing bus service during these times. Train service is expected to resume on schedule on Monday, April 10.
