Ready Readers

Monday, April 10, 2017 - 4:15pm to 5:00pm

Children ages 4 and 5 are invited to join us for this drop-in story time. Each week we will explore different topics such as woodland creatures, transportation, dinosaurs, fairy tales, and more. Children will hear stories, watch short book films, as well as participate in fun activities and crafts. Ages 4 and 5 with caregivers in the building. No session May 29. No registration, no fee. Terrific Tales for Twos and Threes

Tuesday, April 11, 2017 - 10:15am to 10:45am

Children ages 2 and 3 years old and their caregivers will sing songs, listen to stories, and enjoy playtime together while building literacy and social skills. This is a 9-week program. No registration, no fee.

Let's Make Something! with TinkerCAD

Tuesday, April 11, 2017 - 4:00pm to 4:45pm 

3D Computer Design: Learn how to use TinkerCAD, a free online Computer Aided Design program, to make a simple 3D puzzle! For ages 8 - 12 only, registration is required. Register online or call 203-762-6336.

Books for Babies

Wednesday, April 12, 2017 - 10:15am to 10:45am

Bring your wonderful baby to this infant friendly program at Wilton Library. We will sing and play and enjoy gentle stories geared for babies under 12 months old. This is an excellent forum to meet other new parents in the area. No registration, no fee. Caregivers must be present. This is a 9-week program.

Wonderful Ones and Twos

Wednesday, April 12, 2017 - 11:00am to 11:30am

This program is a sharing time for 1 and 2 year-olds and their caregivers. The emphasis is on books, with some songs and toy time. No registration, no program fee. This is a 9-week program.

Ambler Farm Reads

Wednesday, April 12, 2017 - 2:15pm to 3:00pm 
 

Children ages 2 - 4 are invited to join Wilton Library in a visit to Ambler Farm. Caregivers and children will meet at Ambler Farm to enjoy theme based stories as well as a nature walk. Children may check books out at the farm, so make sure to bring your library card! In April, the focus will be sheep and goats.

Build-a-Story

Wednesday, April 12, 2017 - 2:30pm to 3:00pm

Can't come to story time because you have a morning napper? No problem. Join us on Wednesday afternoons for a story followed by a chance to build and play with Duplo Legos. Adding 'build and play' to story time helps develop early literacy skills and encourages creativity.  For ages 2-5. Caregivers must remain with children. No registration required. 

Mother Goose on the Loose

Thursday, April 13, 2017 - 10:15am to 10:45am

Mother Goose on the Loose is a themed story time for children ages 6 months to 2 years.  Children will sing songs, listen to stories, move to music, and learn nursery rhymes.  Felt boards, puppets, instruments, and props will be used.  No fee.  

Please note – to create a small, consistent group experience, this program uses a lottery system for registration. Lottery registration forms are available at the Children's Library desk starting March 20, 2017 and must be returned by April 3, 2017. Patrons will be notified via email if they receive a spot. This is an 9-week program.

Zoo Two by Two

Come to Wilton Library and see and visit with an amazing assortment of fascinating creatures! The Zoo Two by Two program will bring animals such as a young kangaroo, chinchillas and hedgehogs all for kids to look at and enjoy. I Spy Easter Eggs!

Friday, April 14, 2017 - 10:00am to 5:00pm

What are all these pictures of eggs doing in the Children's Library? Pick up a list of the eggs from the Children's Desk and check off the list when you see each egg! Can you spot all ten? Be sure to pick up a take-home craft as your prize. For all ages, registration not required.

Movement and Dance for Little Ones

Friday, April 14, 2017 - 11:00am to 11:30am

Children ages 0-5 and their caregivers are invited to join a fun time of moving, grooving, jumping, shaking, singing and playing instruments. A great morning work-out!  No registration required.

Watch Trolls

Friday, April 14, 2017 - 1:30pm to 3:00pm

Stop by on your day off and watch the colorful and musical movie Trolls by DreamWorks. ‘After the Bergens invade Troll Village, Poppy, the happiest Troll ever born, and the curmudgeonly Branch set off on a journey to rescue her friends.’ All ages, no registration required. 

Make Felt Trolls

Friday, April 14, 2017 - 3:00pm to 4:00pm 

After watching Trolls, don't you want to try making your own felt troll picture? Stick around and we'll bring out the materials you need! Grades 2-6. Registration required.  Register online or call 203-762-6336.
