Norwalk Valley River Trail OPEN After Coyote Encounter

Re-Opening of Norwalk River Valley Trail April 11

On April 10, 2017 the Norwalk River Valley Trail (NRVT) announced the re-opening of the Wilton Loop after it had been closed following an incident involving a coyote and a dog over the weekend. The Wilton Police Department thanks the NRVT representatives for working closely with our Animal Control officers to ensure safe trail usage for all users and their pets.
As coyotes have become more common in our area and occasionally prey on small pets, the police department recognizes public concerns about coyotes.
