Police Blotter 3/25/14

3/20 A 21 year old Norwalk woman was operation a vehicle which was subject to a traffic stop for a defective brake light. Officer's detected an odor of marijuana emanating from within the vehicle.  A search of the vehicle revealed less than 1/2 oz of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

3/21 A 18 year old Wilton woman was operating a vehicle that was subject to a motor vehicle stop for failing to obey a stop sign.  Officer's detected an odor of marijuana emanating from within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

3/21 A vehicle was topped for driving over the fog line and for failure to have the plate illuminated. Marijuana was found in the vehicle along with a smoking pipe.  The operator, a 32 year old Redding man, who hindered investigation by providing a false name and date of birth, was charged with interfering with an Officer and taken into custody. His license was found to be suspended.  He posted a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court.

3/21 A 32 year old Bethel woman turned herself in at HQ upon learning of a warrant for her arrest.  She failed to appear in court in February relative to criminal charges lodged in August 2011 wherein she entered onto the property of a resident against their permission and fought with the resident and threw their cell phone.  She posted bond and is scheduled to appear in court.

3/22 A 25 year old Danbury man was involved in a physical altercation with a female.  He pushed female to the ground while attempting to keep her cell phone from her.  He was arrested for Breach of Peace.

3/22 At 5:38 a resident reported that there car's right rear window was shattered while it was parked in the parking lot along Kristine Lilly Way.  A purse worth $350 was taken from the rear set which contained an iPhone 4 (worth $300), 3 pairs of sunglasses (worth $500), $100 cash and assorted credit cards.  The complainant reported seeing a suspicious black Mercedes with possible Florida plates was seen leaving the area immediatley prior to discovering their car had been broken into.

3/23 A resident reported that their un-locked car had been parked in the parking lot along Kristine Lilly Way and a yellow backpack (worth $70) was taken from the rear set which contained a Texas Instrument calculator (worth $100).

3/22 While on patrol, officers discovered multiple vehicles parked in the Aspetuck Land Preserve after park closing hours. Upon making contact with occupants in one of the vehicles the scent of marijuana was detected.  After investigation it was discovered that a 19 year old Darien woman and a 20 year old Westport woman were in possession of marijuana and in possession of drug paraphernalia.  Both were issued infractions
