Florida Couple Arrested in Wilton for Stealing Mailed Fraudulent Debit/Credit Cards

May 23- Bank of America advised the US Postal Inspections Officer that there were several fraudulent Debit/Credit Cards being mailed to addresses on Snowberry Lane in Wilton. These card were ordered without the consent of the residents and were to be delivered by USPS Monday, May 23, 2016.

Wilton Detectives in conjunction with Postal Inspectors observed the occupant of a vehicle, enter one of the targeted mailboxes and remove the cards (envelopes). The car attempted to leave the area but was stopped by Wilton Detectives and taken into custody.

The investigation is connected to incidents in Florida, New York, Massachusetts and several communities in Fairfield County, CT. Both subjects were released after posting bond and issued court dates.

Velencia Gamble, 31, of Miami, FL and Evens Rosemond, 26, also of Miami FL were charged with Criminal Attempt ID Theft, ID Theft, Larceny in the 6th Degree and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the 6th Degree.
