Wilton Police Arrest 2 Residents for Creating & Filling Fake Prescriptions & Billing Insurance Company

On Monday, November 14, 2016, members of the Wilton Police Department Detective Division, in conjunction with Weston Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Tactical Diversion Squad, served arrest warrants on two individuals at 22 Powder Horn Hill Rd, Wilton.

Jean Murphy and Jean Murphy-Sweeny were arrested on State of Connecticut warrants, stemming from an investigation into the diversion of prescription pills within Fairfield County. Both are alleged to have been creating and filling fake prescriptions in the name of a child of one of the arrestees. Both are alleged to have been billing an insurance company for the prescriptions.

Murphy-Sweeny is alleged to have also been obtaining prescriptions from two different doctors without each of the doctors’ knowledge.
