Wilton Police report 2 car MVA & pot

On June 15th at 7:04 pm, an 18-year-old male and a 17-year-old male from Norwalk were involved in a two car MVA on Danbury Road. The 17-year-old male, having fallen asleep at the wheel, rear ended the 18-year-old male, crossed the Newtown Line, and hit two other cars. The 17-year-old was admitted to Norwalk Hospital for neck pain. No one else was injured.

At 2:00 pm on June 22nd, an illegal possession and failure to obey a traffic signal was reported on Danbury Road in Wilton. The driver, a 56-year-old man from Weston, was driving in Wilton when he ignored a red traffic signal. After being pulled over by police, the officer detected a smell of marijuana and decided to search the car, finding over one ounce of marijuana, as well as a burnt marijuana cigarette. The man was given a misdemeanor summons and has a court date set.
